'Last Man On Earth'

This is the link to show the short film which I have taken inspiration from and would like to try and recreate, but originally and in my own personal way. Changing the story line to my own and making the story my own to create a strong and meaningful piece of film.
I believe that if i make this film to closely aligning to the corresponding film I would not be able to take credit for the story line, therefore I have chosen to make sure that my short film is not as close to the plot of 'The Last Man On Earth' as I originally intended therefore my film will be origional. I am choosing to do this so that there are no copyright issues. Although I believe that this is the man story line/conventions that I would like to follow because I as a producer believe that this is an exelent short film, displaying an hour of filming into 2 mins 27 seconds
I am willing to change my sroty line slightly to get away from the basic storyline of 'The Last Man On Earth' although I believe that I want to make the story close to the story

C - Eye line match with a pub or open house door ( depending if i can get permission to use a pub)
T - i have found a way to end my life painlessly and quick, after the illness nothing has been the same if there are any survivors on the other end of the radio please say now before i leave you alone.
C - close up on the pills( multiple pills to make it realistic)
C - mid shot ZOOM to close up of radio, a crackling and a voice comes through the other end.
C - black screen with the sound of pills dropping on the floor and crying sounds...

( this is only a first draft of scripting my animatic will show this draft to give me an idea of what it should look like.)
Having spoken to my teacher about this post I have noticed that I need to put time scales in to show how long I entend to keep the scene going in for.
We discused script writing and looked at examples and discused structure, I believe that this has benifited me because this has enabled me to have learnt how simple scripting can be if you know what you want within your film. its a good way to visualise how I want my short film to happen and in what time period.

understanding plot...

The plot in a short film is anything that the consumer sees on the screen they are watching. Such as the action, adventure the character experiences to reach his Goal. The plot of my short film is to keep the viewer interested, I plan to do this by using short shots and quick camera angles.
I believe that using some of the key conventions of short film I can make as a producer a successful short film.

The outline.

I have chosen to do the short film option i chose to do this option because I thought it would be a fun, and different style of filming i have not done before. I will be able to show my filming skills using the camera angles, and styles I learnt doing my film introduction last year. Along side this short film I shall be completing a poster to advertise my short film, also a newspaper article to accompany this to show that i have thought about how to plan and advertise this short film.

I am planning on doing my short film, based loosely on the short film 'The Lat Man On Earth' I found this short film very influential on what type of conventions I wanted my film to follow because it seemed to be a serious story line but it ended up with a comical yet serious outcome. I do not want my film to seem as if it has no meaning but I would like it to have a comical edge to the filming. The reason for this is so that the consumer does not become bored of the film or think it becomes tedious.
