audience feedback and ideas...

I done some research into what my target audience would like from a short film, they like to be teased in prior to watching the short film, to make them want to see the film more and more this was done with the release of "Batman, The Dark Knight Rises", they done teaser posters to keep the audience interested, exited and building the expectation of the film. Although I know that my film is no where on the scale of the type of film that Batman is, I took inspiration by there advertising techniques using viral and teaser ads. I talked to Elaine, Hamish and the rest of my class as they fit into at least one part of my target audience they all like Art house cinema. So therefore using there criteria for a short film and what they want from the genre I chose to do I revamped my 1st idea to fit with their ideas about what a short film should be like.

My Interview About My First Film Attempt

This is me reflecting on my 1st attempt at my short film, explaining how I didnt think it worked as a short film, what I wanted to improve and also change.
I believe that i should have taken the advise more critically to improve my 2nd attempt at my short film this way i could have met what the viewers wants and needs of the film could have been there fore creating a happier audience. Also i believe that if i had been more confident infront of camera asking the audience questions myself on how i could improve my short film.

I believe that this was a good enough animatic to go by to film my short film although if i was to redo this i would mainly add more detail of the text, camera angles and the types of actor/ what i really am aspiring for them to be doing.

snow day

Wednesday Dillan and I had chosen to film, yet because of sufficient snow the school was closed, also due to bad roads we could not meet up to film therefore setting me back further. We have chosen to film next wednesday although the deadline in thursday I believe that I can edit the majority by the end of thursdays lesson.

I believe that if we had have been prepared for the snow to occur we could have still filmed although to being a new driver i felt safer to leave it, rather than having to drive into the city to pick up my actors.

illnesses, setbacks and reflections

me and my actor Dillan had decided tto film on the past wednesday, but as i was ill with flu and a chest infection I had to postpone the filming therefore missing the deadline for filming, although I still plan to film my short film with in the next week to hopefully have it ready to be edited by next week.
This could have been sorted out by having done the filming earlier this is a reflection on my poor time management if i was to re-do the film again i would have written up a time scale of when to have filmed by and managed my time a lot better to avoid all the issues of filming late.
